Sean Joyce is the Private Wealth Manager of Joyce Wealth Advisory, a financial planning firm committed to helping clients build, manage, protect and transition their wealth with personalized strategies and unwavering dedication to integrity and transparency.

Background and experience

For over 20 years Sean has helped clients address their financial concerns and develop strategies by focusing on each individual’s unique needs. With extensive experience through numerous economic & market cycles, Sean has dedicated his career to delivering the personalized investment and insurance planning services his clients deserve.

Upon graduating from Clemson University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Sean broadened his cultural experience by living in Valencia, Spain teaching English and traveling extensively across Europe for a year.  After returning to the States, Sean settled back in the Washington, DC metropolitan region in which he grew up.

After several successful years in the construction and telecommunications industries, Sean began his career as a Financial Advisor in 2002. He formalized his education in financial planning, insurance and investing with Merrill Lynch in Washington, DC.  He later joined Morgan Stanley in 2007 to implement a team approach toward providing personalized financial advice for businesses, individuals and families.  In 2014 Sean decided to evolve in a more independent direction by choosing Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network as broker/dealer for his practice.

2022 saw the final evolution of Sean’s practice: becoming a Fiduciary.  JWA now provides advisory services as Joyce Wealth Advisory, A Member of Advisor Services Network, LLC.

Away from the office

Sean spends most of his free time with his wife, Shannon, and their four children: Caitlin, Liam, Chloe and Finnegan.  Shannon and Sean maintain high academic standards and are very proud of their children’s’ consistent and numerous achievments.  The family is active in lacrosse and equestrian sports.  He also enjoys performing in two local cover bands he helped form over the past decade and is a lover of golf, despite his 16 handicap.

Annie Steward

Client Services Consultant



Annie works alongside Sean Joyce, assisting him with client service and support-related operations. She brings over nine years of industry and administrative experience to the Joyce Wealth Advisory team, and is dedicated to going the extra mile to ensure JWA clients receive reliable and premium support.

Originally from upstate New York, Annie is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Leeanne Murphy

Client Associate



Leeanne Murphy gained over twelve years of experience in commercial finance underwriting and client management roles at several leading financial institutions in New York City, including Banco Itaú, Bank of America and Bank of New York.  In 2006, she decided to pivot to her most important role, that of a full-time mother. 

In 2020, with her eldest son in college and the younger two in their final years of high school, Leeanne resumed her career in Finance and joined Joyce Wealth Advisory as the primary client liaison for the practice.

Leeanne was born in New York City and raised in Westchester County, New York.  She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a dual degree in Business and Communications.  She also completed formal bank credit training at The Bank of New York and several finance related certification programs at New York University’s School of Continuing Education. 

She has been an active member of her community, having served in multiple volunteer leadership roles at the elementary, middle, and high schools her three sons attend(ed).  Her responsibilities included fundraising, communications, and budgeting. 

Leeanne, her husband, John, their three boys and three dogs split time between New Jersey and Virginia.
